  I whish we could agree with the posts on here. We stayed over Easter in 2016 and it was a total boggy mess. There were dogs everywhere off leashes, pretty much running in a pack. The amenities were a disgrace. There were not enough toilet and shower blocks and If you could get a shower it was cold and dirty. Toilets were stinky and too far away. Still trying to get the stupid sticker off the windscreen of our car.

  We went for a weekend mid November, its wasn't busy at all. Days were hot, nights were cool, perfect for sitting around the campfire.

  Just a beautiful part of the world. Great place to view the Milky Way and any of the planets that are in the southern sky. Lots of bird life to view and photograph. And you'll have the odd cow or 5 wander past your campsite.

  A beautiful spot to camp and I thoroughly enjoyed my break. What really let's this place down though is the toilet/shower block which is in need of some TLC and there is no soap provided to wash your hands. Out of the three female toilet's there was only one sanitary bin and the lid was broken and it was in need of emptying. The male toilet's had no soap either and half the toilet seats were missing. While camping we checked out other camp sites in the vacinity and were disappointed to find that Gordon Country charged more then some other camp grounds that had better facilities. For me the price and amenities really impacted on what is otherwise a beautiful place to camp.

  The only downside was due to a small group of campers who didn't seem to understand that not everyone wanted to hear their music, cars or delightful children who had such a wide ranging vocabulary.

  Yes the maps are terrible, but get there early drive around for half an hour (yes, its that big you will need at least half an hour to see everything) and you'll find a great spot. There are so many secluded private areas. Great for groups, families or even singles.
